Meet the Team


Michael F. Niemann | CEO & Founder

Michael has over 30 years of experience. He focuses on high-end tax, estate planning, succession planning, and life insurance ideas for his clients.

In serving his clients, Michael has been very active with both identifying and helping to resolve tax issues often resulting in substantial income and estate tax savings. Michael brings a practical and business-focused view in dealing with issues that family businesses and executives face.

Prior to founding the Niemann Group, Michael was a regional leader for private tax and estate planning for two Big 4/5 accounting firms. He also was the national leader of life insurance advisory for EY. In addition, he was the regional managing partner for an advance planning life insurance advisory firm. He holds a B.S. in Accounting and Investment Finance from the University of Southern California.

Michael is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the AICPA and the Missouri Society of CPAs. He also is an Accredited Estate Planner, Charter Global Management Advisor, Trust and Estate Practitioner, Charter Financial Consultant, and Charter Life Underwriter. Michael is a member of the Top of the Table of Million Dollar Roundtable.

Michael is involved in numerous charities and has served on the planned giving or other boards of the American Red Cross of Missouri and Arkansas, the St Louis Archdiocese, Barnes Jewish Foundation, Variety of St. Louis, Missouri Botanical Garden, Independence Center, and St. Peter School. He and his wife, Lyn, live in Kirkwood, MO and have three children. The eldest, Mike, is a key member of Niemann Group.

Michael F. Niemann Jr. | Director, East Region

Michael (Mike) Niemann, Jr. started his career in accounting and fintech consulting, a skill set he brings to Niemann Group’s internal operations as well as existing client relations.

Prior to joining Niemann Group, Mike was a Manager in the Business Process Improvement segment of a global consulting firm, Protiviti. During his tenure, Mike worked for companies ranging from the Fortune 50 and some of the largest privately-held companies in the world to small, privately held businesses. This included working in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance for a major national bank, isolating the root cause of multimillion-dollar revenue leaks for a legal services firm, multiple lift and shift of US operations to shared services centers, automating the insurance claim process of 50 FTE’s, scaling the operations of a treasury department through automation, and many more client success stories. 

Mike graduated from Creighton University with BSBAs in both Accounting and in Finance with a focus in Investment Analysis & Banking. He is also a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and holds several certifications in the RPA/IPA space.

Mike currently resides in Greenville, SC with his wife, Nicole. In his free time, he enjoys playing squash, cooking, and pretending like he knows about wine.

Daniel T. Heinrichs | Business Development Manager

Daniel (Dan) began his career in accounting and IT consulting before transitioning into an internal, relationship management role within a global consulting firm and brings that passion for relationship building to Niemann Group.

Before joining Niemann Group, Dan led audits and technology consulting projects across many industries, with a most recent focus on financial services. He created process improvements and efficiencies for Fortune 500 companies and worked with executives to implement those changes. Dan worked in both St. Louis, Missouri and Melbourne, Australia offices, gaining a wide variety of experiences and exposure to large company operations on a global scale.

Dan graduated from Saint Louis University with a BSBA in Accounting and the University of Missouri – St. Louis with a Master of Accountancy.

Dan currently lives in St. Louis and enjoys golfing, making pizza, and walking his dog around the many beautiful parks in St. Louis.

Christina Lodes | Executive Administrator

Christina (Chris) has 12 years of experience in office administration and management in a small family run business. Christina manages day-to-day operations, bookkeeping, and client communications for Niemann Group.

Christina graduated from Webster University’s School of Education.  After completing her degree, Christina spent 15 years teaching in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.  Recently, Christina retired from education to resume her role in office administration and management.

Christina lives in St. Louis with her husband Dan and has three children.  In her spare time, Christina enjoys attending her children’s sports events, gardening, cooking, and reading.
